I kind of like it, myself, the slow steady buildup to the beginning.
Now what I want to see is the exact opposite. Where you put a disc in your PS2 (or 3 or Wii or pc or whatever) and there's no loading screen, no opening menu, nothing, just people shooting at you or zombies jumping at you, so you need to do something right away, as soon as you turn the thing on.
That would be awesome.
